CyberUK 2025 brought the UK’s cyber community together in Manchester, and LASR was at the heart of it. From conversations on cyber threats to AI’s growing impact on national security, it was clear that innovation in AI security is no longer a niche concern - it’s a national imperative.
In a major milestone for LASR, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Pat McFadden announced our new collaboration with Cisco, GCHQ, and NCSC: a first-of-its-kind partnership that will drive AI security research and demonstrator projects from the North West, showcasing how science, innovation, and industry can come together to build resilience.
The message across the event was clear: cyber security is collective. It’s not just about defence - it’s about building the skills, tools, and systems to shape a secure AI future. Read the Government's press release here.
