Advancing the AI Security Conversation: Highlights from LASR Lates Manchester

The first global AI event of its kind – the Paris-hosted AI Action Summit has taken place this week, complemented by a London AI Fringe event.

LASR Validate, our first programme designed to support innovators with their development of AI security products, is officially underway.

At NATO Cyber Defence Conference, UK Government has announced the new Laboratory for AI Security Research (LASR).

Building on the existing world-leading expertise of UK academic institutions, LASR will act as a new centre of excellence for AI Security Research. The Lab will engage with the broader cyber and AI ecosystem nationally and internationally to support the work of dedicated researchers, who will explore vulnerabilities in AI systems.

LASR, a public-private partnership bringing together UK Government departments and agencies with innovation and research teams from Plexal, University of Oxford, The Alan Turing Institute and Queen’s University Belfast.

Located at Plexal Stratford on the Here East campus at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, is our shared workspace designed to foster collaboration and innovation in the rapidly evolving field of AI security.
